Affiliate Elite Review

Affiliate Marketing Products, Software No Comments

Affiliate Elite Review - First there was SEO Elite. Then there was Keyword Elite. Now, the latest Elite edition is called Affiliate Elite. First, you should know that if it’s from Brad Callen, it’s probably going to be very good. Brad Callen is known for putting out some excellent pieces of software, so let’s take a look at Affiliate Elite.

On the surface, Affiliate Elite does look extremely powerful.

Here are some of what you can do with Affiliate Elite:

Find profitable affiliate products to promote…

Copy entire marketing strategies of top affiliates…

See what keywords are making them sales…

See the highest converting webpages for affiliates…

You’re probably wondering how Affiliate Elite does all this. Here’s some more details…

Project #1: Find Profitable Affiliate Products to Promote - Search Clickbank and PayDotCom like you never have before. The advanced features in Affiliate Elite make it easy to compare several different factors among several products at once. For example, you can see the gravity, how long the product has been in the database, or the percentage referred to the site. Of course you can do all these things without Affiliate Elite, but it becomes much easier and less time consuming when using Affiliate Elite.

Project #2: Reverse Google Search - Enter a site url and Affiliate Elite returns keywords that people are bidding on for that url and what position they are in. Other products that do this can run pretty high compared to Affiliate Elite’s cost. What value does this have? Imagine all the affiliates promoting a piece of software like SEO Elite. Think that a few hundred or a few thousand affiliates can come up with a pretty thorough keyword list? There’s a lot of power in groups and Affiliate Elite takes advantage of this.

Project #3: Analyze Adwords (and Yahoo) Competition: Take your keywords from Project #2 and see who is bidding on which keyword. And, you can use this over time to see how often certain competitors ran a particular ad for each keyword.

Project #4: Find Super Affiliates - Extremely powerful. Finding Super Affiliates is not only powerful because you can “copy” their strategies, but you can also leverage this knowledge when planning joint ventures or product launches. When you can easily find SuperAffiliates, you’ll be able to more easily do business with them in the future. Affiliate Elite finds Super Affiliates by seeing which affiliate id is promoting a certain product. In addition, you’ll see info like Alexa Rank, Google PR, Google/MSN/Yahoo backlinks, and Whois information for each site.

In addition to all the projects, Affiliate Elite offers ridiculously thorough video training and daily webinars.

Bottom line: Affiliate Elite isn’t the cheapest piece of software you’ll find. But considering Projects 1-4 and Brad’s reputation for keeping his products up-to-date and an active forum, the investment is well worth it as long as you actually use the software.

You’d be surprised how many affiliate marketers purchase an ebook or piece of software and let it collect digital dust on their hard drives. I’ve been guilty of it myself. Don’t let it happen to you! Get a copy of Affiliate Elite and use the hell out of it.

Punkd by Google Adwords

Affiliate Marketing Products, Google, PPC No Comments

Have you ever been punkd by Google Adwords?

I have.

A few weeks ago, I started promoting Keyword Elite on Adwords. It started to go very well as I was getting pretty good conversions and getting a ROI of about 100%.

It’s a great feeling when you can wake up, go to your Clickbank account, and see on a regular basis that you made XXX amount of dollars yesterday and only spent xx.

One day last week, I logged into my Adwords account and see the dreaded “Alert” message. I had several of them.

I noticed I had alerts for several of my KE ads, but not all of them. I made some edits on some of the language I used (took out words like “killer” and “kicks butt”) because I thought they didn’t like the way that I was writing my ads. My ads came back online for a short time, but were disapproved again.

Eventually, my keywords for this ad group are disapproved (in red letters - scary!). However, I still have several other ad groups that are still running. For some reason, Google disapproved the following keywords

keyword elite
“keyword elite”
[keyword elite]

but they did not touch the ones like

keyword elite review (all match types)
keyword elite discount (all match types
etc.

I decided to contact them to see what was up.

Within 1 day, I got a reply.

Thank you for your email. I understand your concerns and frustrations
regarding the recent changes to our content policy. Only after careful
consideration did we decide to implement our Template Sites For Ad
Networks policy. This change was based on several factors, including user
and customer experience. We regularly review Google AdWords content
policies and make changes to keep them current and effective. Our goal is
to have policies that are fair, consistent, and adaptable.

In order to maintain this fairness for our advertisers and consistency for
our users, all Google AdWords ads must follow the Editorial Guidelines and
content policy.

Please note, we do allow advertising for sites and programs that offer
general AdSense optimization tips and advice, as well as sites that
promote web marketing strategy. AdWords/AdSense Search Engine Marketing
(SEM) service providers are acceptable.

Thank you for informing us of your concern, and we appreciate your
understanding.

I had violated their “new” Template Sites for Ad Networks Content policy. That’s a mouthful.
Basically, they don’t want anyone promoting any type of software that can be used to make spammy sites that are made solely for the purpose of making money from ads.

Isn’t that what 99% of websites are for - to make money from ads? I understand what they mean, but I don’t agree with the implementation of the rule.

The real problem is that Keyword Elite is an excellent keyword research tool. It has several powerful “projects” that can be used to help generate huge lists of keywords.

There is 1 option within KE that would allow a user to build a Template Site for Ad Networks type page, but that is not the focus of KE.

Since my keywords were effectively “banned,” I wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this.

I found that I was not alone.

On John Jonas’ blog, he explains how one of the folks he’s working with experienced a similar problem, except the result was much worse - he was BANNED from Google Adwords. A little harsh for a simple keyword “violation,” no?

It’s not like the guy was promoting something sordid or illegal.

At least I wasn’t banned. The only reason I wasn’t is most likely that I spend a decent amount per month. There must be a threshold but I’m not sure what it is. Probably like $500 or $1000. If you meet that minimum per month, maybe Google is less harsh in its Judge, Jury, and Executioner style.

What pisses me off even more is that if you go to Google and type in “keyword elite,” guess what you’ll see. Tons of ads! What the hell? I thought it was funny how in Google’s email reply to me they said how they want to be fair and consistent, blah blah blah… but if you look at their actions, they are neither fair nor consistent. Some people are banned while some have keywords disapproved while some are still allowed to run the EXACT SAME ADS!

Thanks Google - there goes an extra $500 - $1000 per month out the window.

btw, if you want to know how to get KE for $83.50, check this out…

Script Dojo Review

Affiliate Marketing Products 1 Comment

Joel Comm recently came out with a really cool site called ScriptDojo.  It’s a review site that is loaded with the best scripts out there for internet marketers.  Scripts like Keyword Elite, Peel Away Ads, Cash Sucking Sales Letters, Adsense Traffic Guide, and many more.   The top Clickbank products and ebooks are reviewed as well as products from PayDotCom and new $7 Scripts that come out.

What is most interesting about ScriptDojo.com is the affiliate program.   Become an affiliate and promote one link, embedded with your Clickbank, PayDotCom, and PayPal ID’s.  The ScriptDojo.com cookie lasts a full year, and if your visitor returns and makes any purchases, you’ll get the full commission.

So, instead of worrying about missing a major product launch, just focus on getting people on your Script Dojo list and let Joel & Co. write the review, email the list, and do all the hard work while you earn the commission.  Pretty neat.  I think this is a really cool idea, but in addition, you should still focus on building your own list too.

What this does, though, is lets you leverage your time and energy since the Script Dojo team will be doing almost all the work.  It’s basically an Instant Affililate Store, but without a lot of the hassle.  Plus you get Joel sending updates to your visitors through the Script Dojo newsletter, all including your affiliate link.

If you want to test out the ScriptDojo.com system, you can get started for one cent through this link.

The days of keyword stuffing, single phrase optimization and concentrating only on incoming links to gain traffic are slowly being phased out as a more holistic approach to judging website content comes online. This new concept has many webmasters hopping, and it should. Latent semantic indexing is quickly becoming the wave of now.

Latent semantic indexing, is a Google driven creation that’s meant to better gauge the content of a web page in relation to the entire site to discover the overall theme. It is a more sophisticated measure of what sites and their pages are all about. While it doesn’t mean webmasters need to completely retool all of their keyword optimization efforts, it does mean depth needs to be a greater consideration.

The history behind latent semantic indexing is rather interesting. Google’s current ranking system, which relies on incoming links (or votes) and keywords to scan pages for relevancy when surfers do searches has been known for penalizing perfectly good sites. The system was set up to scan for relevance and quality. In the process, it has a habit of knocking new sites and those which add too much content too quickly. Although some of these sites, naturally, are those that result from link farming and quick keyword stuffed content generators, not all are unplanned fabrications.

Google wanted a better way, and found one. Latent semantic indexing is meant to scan the overall theme of a site, so as not to penalize those sites that have fresh, relevant and good content even if they do happen to pop up over night.

This new focus puts an emphasis on quality and freshness of content to help sites gain higher ranking position. In essence, latent semantic indexing is meant to give a searcher the best possible site to meet their needs based on relevant keywords and comprehensive coverage and not just incoming links.

This system basically presents a more fair way to give search engine users the pages they really want. It does what Google has always tried to do – provide higher quality, more relevant results.

The old days of Google putting 80 percent of its emphasis on incoming links and 20 percent on the actual site itself are coming to an end. Incoming links will always have relevance, especially in regard to breaking search “ties,” but they may not carry the same weight as before. This can make it a bit easier for those who work on their sites with an emphasis on quality to see real results.

What all of this means to web publishers is that those who have done and continue to do their jobs correctly will have a better chance of shining with latent semantic indexing. Those who keyword stuff, create nonsensical content and spend a lot of time using link farms likely will not.

The key to getting ahead in the new age of Google search falls on quality. Sites that provide useful and relevant information in regard to their content will be likely to do better on searches. Those that cut corners could find themselves at the bottom of the search totem pole.

If you’re looking to build a perfectly-structured, highly-optimized site or even improve your existing site there is a great new software tool that just came out called SiloMatic.

This software guarantees all of your web pages will be properly structured to rank high on Google and other major search engines.

Operation Money Pump Review

Affiliate Marketing Products No Comments

I recently got a few different emails promoting an ebook called Operation Money Pump. Interesting name….I figured I’d look at the sales letter and pass.

Looking it over, I found some of the points made on the salespage pretty interesting - like how to make $25000 in a single day and six figures in a month. who doesn’t want to do that? Because of the recommendations it received, I thought it might be worth checking out.

the book is by a ‘Mr. X from and undisclosed location.’ oooh, this is going to be good.

“Mr. X should be taken out back, blindfolded, and shot.” for what? summarizing all the various parts of internet marketing and putting them into an ebook under a funky new name?

I really thought I’d find something new in here or surprising, but the only section that doesn’t seem to be the ’same old stuff’ is the emphasis on personal branding and selling the opt-in.

Dont’ get me wrong, Operation Money Pump has good info, but it doesn’t really match up with its salesletter. In fact, it’s way different. I felt like I bought the wrong book. maybe I downloaded the wrong book on the thank you page, accidentally?

did you watch the Sopranos finale? was it just me, or did you also get up at the end of the show and check your tv or cable box to see if it broke? i had recorded the episode on my DVR and rewound several times to make sure that the DVR didn’t mess up. This is how I felt while reading Operation Money Pump.

I’m not so disappointed in Mr. X as I’m disappointed in the people that recommended this book and how they recommended it.

if I were to recommend this book, it would say this - “good solid info on internet marketing, how to brand yourself, along with overviews (not much more than overviews) on SEO (onsite and offsite), blogging, building a list, and selling the opt-in. if you’re a beginner, this would be a good book for you if you haven’t purchased the last 10 books that have come out. if you have, skip it. just know this - you need to start building a list and a “brand” in a niche. if you’re an intermediate or expert marketer, don’t buy it. You probably already know everything in this book. the ideal person who should buy this book is a beginner who hasn’t bought more than 1 or 2 ebooks on internet marketing.”

that’s it. no need for the hype. but of course, you don’t sell a few thousand copies without some hype. so, I guess, we should expect it.

please don’ t get me wrong, Mr. X. I thought Operation Money Pump was a decent product, but I felt like I was misled by the salesletter and recommendations it received.

Disappointed.

Interview with Jason DeVelvis About Web 2.0

Affiliate Marketing Products, Affiliate Networks, WP Plugins, Web 2.0 No Comments

Jason DeVelvis is a well-known and respected Internet Marketer, responsible for products like FlurryPop, a script that allows you to put your product over other people’s websites, and SaleFlurry – one of the premier Affiliate Networks. He also does Internet Marketing coaching.

ME: Jason, what is Web 2.0 all about?

JASON: Well, most people think it’s about AJAX, DHTML, Dynamic websites, Social Networking, things like that. But those are all byproducts of Web 2.0, not what it really is.

Web 2.0 is more of a paradigm shift – a change from “pushing” websites and content to visitors into “pulling” the content from them. Internet surfers don’t necessarily want to be just given information, but instead are looking for sites that allow them to participate. They want to get information from other people like themselves while making friends, forming relationships, and building a community. That’s Web 2.0 – and so many people are missing the boat.

ME: So static content sites are on the way out?

JASON: Nope, I don’t mean that, because content sites will always have a place on the web. Not all visitors are going to want to contribute, many will still just be looking for an answer to their question, or information on their topic. But why not let another one of your visitors give them that information?

ME: Ok, so how can Internet Marketers and webmasters take advantage of this on their websites?

JASON: In a number of ways, actually. But the easiest way is to give your users the opportunity to contribute to your site somehow. Put up a forum, or give them the ability to blog on your site, or throw up a blog and encourage them to comment, etc etc etc. Honestly, people like to tell people their opinions, and they’re generally willing to put those opinions out there for people to read.

ME: Is it really that easy? “Put up a forum”?

JASON: Haha, no. If you don’t have traffic to your site, you won’t be successful in getting your visitors to post and spend time there.

ME: So no “If you build it, they will come?”

JASON: Nope – that hasn’t worked since the mid 90s. Actually, I created my first affiliate site in 2001, and I thought that all I had to do was put up a site and people would just come to it. After about a month of work to get the site up (it was a sweet site, or so I thought) it took me about a week to realize that it was a bomb – big time – because I didn’t have any traffic. Then, I launched another site, and concentrated on getting people to it through any means that I could, and that’s when I started to see success with it. When I got people to 1) come to my site, and 2) keep coming back to it. Coincidentally, that site went down within a few months because my hosting company at the time had a bandwidth limit and no way to upgrade the account, so they shut my site down when I hit that threshold. My lesson: make sure your hosting company will grow with your site :)

ME: Ok, then how do you recommend getting people to come to your site?

JASON: That’s an entire course in and of itself, and there are plenty of courses out there on it, but I’m a BIG fan of article marketing. But there are tons of ways to drive traffic – SEO, articles, AdWords, email lists, forum marketing, email signatures, JVs, and on and on and on…

But the REAL biggie is how to keep your visitors coming back! You don’t want to do all that work to get tons of traffic to your site just to have them give it a once over and then leave, never to return, do you? Nah, that’s leaving money on the table! So how do you keep people coming back? Give them a reason to. Plain and simple. If your site is an affiliate site, or a content site, or a plain old blog, you NEED to give them something to make them want to one, be there, and two, come back for more. My suggestion on doing it? Turn your site into a user-driven ratings/review site.

ME: Great advice. Any chance a ratings site will help with bringing new people in, too?

JASON: Well, I can’t say this 100% for sure, because I haven’t thoroughly tested it, but I’ve been noticing a HUGE upswing of reviews and review sites in the top 10 pages of Google. Any time I search for any kind of product, I almost immediately see a review listed in the top 10, frequently in the top 5! Now, that may just be coincidence, so take it with a grain of salt, but if other people’s review sites are making the top 10, can’t yours?

ME: Haha, well said. If I’m right, you just launched a script that allows you to easily create user-generated review sites, didn’t you?

JASON: Why else would I be raving about them? Just kidding – Yes, I did just release a Wordpress plugin that turns your blog into a Web 2.0 review machine. But this isn’t one of those “Hey, maybe this will sell well… I’ll create it and sell it to all these suckers” (actually, none of my products are) – I created it to run my own review sites and drive more profits. I created it as an income source, and it turned out very well.

As I was creating it, I wondered if anyone else could make use of it. And I kid you not, the first 10 people I talked to about it thought it was AWESOME and they wanted to get their hands on it ASAP! I almost flipped – I only mentioned in in passing most of the time, and it quickly became the topic of conversation. I actually had to push up the launch because people were emailing me and almost begging me to release it. So I did :)

ME: What’s so good about this product? Why should I use it?

JASON: Well, first of all, it’s easy to use – it runs on Wordpress, so it’s VERY easy to get set up. For those who aren’t very technological, or experienced with Wordpress, there are full, step-by-step help videos.

Second, with the intrinsic Wordpress spam filtering, you don’t have to worry about getting your ratings site spammed like crazy from random spam bots.

But the most important thing is that it enables your visitors to give their opinion on products, ideas, blog posts, or whatever you want them to rate! You can use it for affiliate products, your own products, your rants and ramblings, ideas, blog posts, anything – so you’re not limited on how you can use it. And we all know how much people like to give their opinions, so you shouldn’t be short on user generated content for the search engines to eat up and keep the traffic coming.

ME: You haven’t given a URL yet, Jason…

JASON: Haha, that I haven’t. You can get your copy of Rating Dominator at http://www.RatingDominator.com/

ME: Alright, that’s all the time we have, thanks a lot Jason!

And for those of you reading this, what Jason didn’t mention was that Rating Dominator is FREE! Yeah, you don’t have to pay a dime - All you have to do is go to http://www.RatingDominator.com/

Adsense Micro-Nicher - Affiliate Rockstar Toolkit

Adsense, Affiliate Marketing Products, Bonus, Discounts No Comments

Have you picked up a copy of Affiliate Rockstar yet? I did the other day and I opted to get the toolkit, too. I don’t often go for the upsell unless it’s really good, but these tools were too much to pass up.

One of them is called the Adsense Finder. It helps find really low cost opportunities for advertising that are highly targeted. It can do this for tons of keywords at once and returns to you what sites it found. This gives you the opportunity to get adwords clicks for really cheap.

I just got an email from Eric (I’m on his list, we’re not best buds or anything) and he said that Chris (from Adwords Miracle) has decided to pull out this tool and the Daddy keyword tool from the bonus package in the next day or so. I totally believe him because I’ve used these tools and they are worth A LOT more than what I paid for them. They’re probably going to charge something like $97/month for access to this and right now you can get it for like $7/month.

If you are on the fence, check out our full review of Affiliate Rockstar here and consider getting yourself a copy.

Affiliate Rockstar Status Bonus

Affiliate Marketing Products, Bonus No Comments

Watch the video review now…

Affiliate Rockstar Status is a new affiliate marketing ebook by “Erock” and the guys from DJK/Rockstar. (I’m sure you’re tired of hearing how “every affiliate needs this,” so I’ll save it. Here’s our honest review…) It’s a pretty thorough read and we recommend it because it contains some great info and access to a KILLER affiliate toolkit. This will definitely be a top seller over at Clickbank.

What we really liked:

  • How to build a list of buyers - seven figure blueprint
  • Not just ‘what’ to do, but also ‘how’ to do it
  • Great strategy to find niche markets and totally dominate the organic listings and PPC
  • Some really great advice on writing ad copy; new tips and tricks
  • Great method for Next Generation Direct Linking
  • How to get Adwords clicks for less than 1 cent per click - very cool!

What we didn’t like:

  • some rehash of Bum marketing, a tactic found in Adwords180, and Niche Marketing on Crack

Overall:

I would recommend grabbing a copy, especially because of the access to the tools on the backend. I wouldn’t pass on these, especially since it’s so cheap. Despite having some ‘old’ techniques, the step by step instructions and screenshots for the direct linking method, the how to on list building, the KILLER copy secrets, as well as the affiliate toolkit make this a pretty solid product. If you own Adwords Miracle, Affiliate Project X, and Adwords 180, then you probably don’t need it. Otherwise, I’d definitely check it out.

That being said, I’m offering some pretty cool bonuses to those who buy Affiliate Rockstar through this site. Check these bonuses below…
